Position: Internship for Financial Services Firm

We are seeking an intern to support client services and advisors. The intern role is designed to provide students or recent graduates with the foundation needed to become successful professionals within the financial services industry. Interns will learn and develop core business knowledge while completing daily tasks and special projects.

This role will report to and provides administrative support to our financial advisor(s). This internship is for current college students or recent graduates with motivation to pursue a financial services career.

Associate Advisor

Position: Associate Advisor

An Associate Advisor is an integral part of our organization. By providing assistance to our senior advisor(s), an Associate can provide an exceptional level of client experience. Through real-time assistance of financial planning, investment management and overall wealth management, our ideal Associate Advisor can assist in building the business while simultaneously building and nurturing relationships with clients. Dependent on licensing, training, and experience, an Associate has the potential to move into a role of Financial Advisor.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Meeting preparation support
  • Assists with data gathering and preparation for special projects
  • Data entry and business tracking
  • Respond to client inquires and assist with client request coordination to provide the highest level of service
  • Attend client meetings and take notes, maintain notes in CRM
  • Assist in business management tasks when needed
  • Assist in marketing tasks when needed, including workshops, seminars, client events
  • Increase knowledge of products and services as the company and industry evolves

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Finance, Sales, Business, or related Field
  • Prior experience Financial Planning and/or Sales fields preferred, but not required
  • Prior designations (CFP) and licenses held (Life and Health, Series 6, 63, 66, etc.) preferred, but not required.  Position will require licensing and registration to be obtained shortly after being hired. 
  • Knowledge of insurance/financial services industry preferred, but not required 
  • Licensed or enrolled in Certified Financial Planner® program a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong typing and note taking skills, including being able to transcribe client meeting notes efficiently and accurately
  • Advanced level computer skills; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Successful sales experience a plus
  • Must be able to pass background, FINRA, and other Finance industry checks
